Mulberry Rhubarb Pie Recipe


Inspiration 
My inspiration for this piece came from my memories with my great aunt Karen and how we would bake all kinds of desserts together. We would bake mainly cookies and assorted pies, including my favorite, mulberry rhubarb. It meant the world to me to harvest the wild mulberries and rhubarb to make the homemade pie. My aunt Karen, along with other family members, mean so much to me , and most of my favorite childhood memories are with her and my uncle. I made this piece so in the future I can pass the recipe to my future children. 

Description
In this piece, I see multiple ingredients, all that make a wonderful dessert. The ingredients are drawn and colored in a presenting manner. 

Interpretation 
The piece is about a recipe for a cherished kind of pie. The title fits because the recipe makes a mulberry rhubarb pie, just like the title says. The piece feels warm and full of precious memories. The colors used for the ingredients are colored are as accurately as I could get them. 

Judgement
Other people should see this work because they could follow and share the recipe, but most importantly, enjoy a delicious treat. Since I already own this piece, I am going to keep it and in the future pass it down to my future children. This piece is worth remembering because how meaningful and heartfelt it is. 

Analysis 
In the piece, shape, color, and texture are elements that are used. Proportion and unity are principles of design that are used. Proportion is used by how the images are around the same size. Unity is present because all the ingredients make up the whole pie.

concentration 1- cartoons I liked

My concentration is childhood because looking back on my childhood makes me feel better, I love looking back at old pictures to see from a different perspective of old memories I have. For my first project, I chose cartoons I loved years ago and drew my favorite character from each show. I used colored pencil and marker as my mediums. My idea for this project was to illustrate younger me daydreaming of my favorite shows and not exactly paying attention in school. Overall, I am pleased with the final draft, I wish I had drawn myself differently; however, it does portray me bring younger so I guess its not a total loss. I really like how I drew the characters and I'm pleased with the visible progress I made with drawing human figures and different positions. I want to improve on drawing hands because I still suck.

concentration 3- Pets I had

As the title shows, I drew the animals I grew up with. I wanted to draw the animals together to show how they were all part of the family. From oldest to youngest, the cat, Figaro, was a rescue my mom brought home before I was born. He lived a very long life of eighteen years and was arguably one of the most patient cats. There are pictures from when I dressed him in clothes for dolls and put hair clips all in his fur. The cocker spaniel, Charlie lived until he was twelve and was very loyal. When my sister was very young, my mom and dad bought him as a puppy. He was well behaved and trained. Sadie was a golden retriever, living until seven or eight. My family actually bought her from my great aunt in Ohio when their dog, Libby, had one of many litters of puppies. When my dad, sister, new stepmom (ew), and I moved to Florida, my stepmom was a bitch and didnt want to keep her so she forced my dad to give Sadie to church friends.
