concentration 4- Favorite game

Image
For my fourth project, I decided on video games, more specifically, Super Mario Bros for the DS. At first I was going to draw little me in the mario universe, watering fire flowers or just chillin or something but scraped it. I settled on the idea of a younger me, dressed in my version of mario's signature outfit, chillin with a spiky boy (my favorite "enemy"). I like how it turned out but the coloring could be better. Some say its brilliant but it was honestly a fluke that I spaced the yellow mountain further away from the yellow question box. So yeah, once again connects to my concentration being that its a game I was obsessed with as a kid. I actually couldnt complete the game on my own back then because I sucked so much at it. I had my cousin, who I was really close to, actually complete it for me. Early 2018 I restarted the game and finished it myself. My highest achievement.

concentration 3- Pets I had

As the title shows, I drew the animals I grew up with. I wanted to draw the animals together to show how they were all part of the family. From oldest to youngest, the cat, Figaro, was a rescue my mom brought home before I was born. He lived a very long life of eighteen years and was arguably one of the most patient cats. There are pictures from when I dressed him in clothes for dolls and put hair clips all in his fur. The cocker spaniel, Charlie lived until he was twelve and was very loyal. When my sister was very young, my mom and dad bought him as a puppy. He was well behaved and trained. Sadie was a golden retriever, living until seven or eight. My family actually bought her from my great aunt in Ohio when their dog, Libby, had one of many litters of puppies. When my dad, sister, new stepmom (ew), and I moved to Florida, my stepmom was a bitch and didnt want to keep her so she forced my dad to give Sadie to church friends. Finally, Scrappy is a yorkie terrier and is currently

concentration 2- houses I lived in

For my second project I drew the houses I grew up in/ lived in. The different sizes of the boxes represent older to newer memories, how with each house I grew physically and as a person, or just a sort of timeline in which order I lived where. I included each address as a way to remember how each house is not like the other, how specific memories are held dear to each place I lived. Overall, I guess Im happy with the final project. My initial intention was to have the oldest house to be in black and white and gradually make the newer house full of color to represent how distant my memories of each place are; obviously that is not what happened because I was being a dumb and forgot. The houses themselves are okay at best, I suck at drawing buildings sooo. When I was planning my concentration, I didnt want to make each piece to be in a storyline, I wanted to just capture and relive significant things I remember from my childhood. This is no exception, it does not connect to the fir
